Snow Days Along The Shore
The snow has given a different view of the shore and the birds that I frequently visit. Along with the many sanderlings and turnstones was one lone oystercatcher. It stayed close to shelter and I wonder if it is injured. I haven't seen one there before and I have never seen one on its own. I didn't go yesterday but it was in exactly the same area for two days. The sanderlings and turnstones were as busy as ever, on the sand or in the snow. The blackheaded gulls were chasing the smaller birds, maybe to move them off, maybe to grab their food. I tried to get a shot but none were quite in focus.
